From 'Right Here, Right Now' - The best way to make prayer a regular part of your life is to develop a personal rule of life linking prayer with the existing patterns of your day. Select one or two of your automatic behaviors throughout the day and commit yourself to carrying out a brief spiritual exercise every time you are about to assume the automatic behavior. The linking works only when the new behavior is inserted before the automatic behavior. The one-minute exercises are designed to open your conscious mind to God's presence and should be scattered throughout the day.
